To pick or not to pick, that is the elderflower question! If you found us closed in York on Monday and on Tuesday in Edinburgh and Glasgow this week, then we apologise!  However, there was a very good reason to close, to pick elderflower for our seasonally produced Elderflower Vinegar.  Such is the deliciousness of this vinegar once made, we have witnessed an ever increasing demand for it and have sold out after just a few months each year since we started having it made for us in 2006. Our 2010 elderflower vinegar should be in stock by the end of July, but if you would like to be the first to know when it arrives please sign up to our newsletter now or follow us on Facebook or Twitter. The elder flowers for only a week and a half of the year, so our window of opportunity to pick is very tight. Fortunately this year we found an abundance of the wild flowers on the hedgerows around Wetherby in North Yorkshire and around Dalmeny on the outskirts of Edinburgh. The full story of this years pickathon will feature in our next newsletter.
