It has been almost 3 years to the day that we opened our Glasgow branch of Demijohn in Byres Road, but on 16th September 2009 at 12 noon we will officially open our third shop in York at 11 Museum Street, just a stones throw from the impressive York Minster. Whether York is ready for our Scottish invasion, I am not sure. However, we plan to have a skirl of the bagpipes to warn the friendly Yorkshire folk of our arrival in their marvelous city. Not only will there be a chance to sample our impressive new cask strength 14 year old Linkwood single malt whisky 54.1% and many of our other unique and delicious creations, but you will also bear witness to our latest creative shop design. The design uses recycled beech wood shelves that have a grain pattern that can only be described as a work of art! In order to celebrate our new opening we will be running a series of private hosted tasting evenings until the end of September. The entrance will be free (normal price £11.50 per person) for invited guests only, however places are limited. Therefore, if you live in the Yorkshire area and would like to be invited please email me at info@demijohn.co.uk as soon as possibe. Please visit our tasting evenings webpage if you would like further information on how our tasting evenings are run.
York standby, here we come!
Yours,
