There has been little time to catch our breath in the last few weeks as our mail order department goes into overdrive and our other activities accelerate to a pace that is simply silly! However, I still have plenty of time to offer you some top tips on last minute present ideas. So here are the first 5 of my top 10 present ideas for 2011, the last 5 will be published in our next newsletter in December:

Product News - Wild on Whisky!
Since I last wrote we have on tap 3 new excellent single cask, single malts. All are definitely worth a sniff. Our relationship with the Clynelish Distillery is not yet over and we now have another subtle 14 year old Clynelish Single Malt Whisky 57.8% for you to try your nose on. A new cask of 13 year old Linkwood Single Malt Whisky 56.5% replaces our now almost extinct, but much sought after, 12 year old. The hat trick is made by a new cask of 21 year old Bladnoch Single Malt Whisky 51%, from cask no. 131. Close in taste to our 20 year old Bladnoch from cask 132, but this one will be very popular also I think. But our flirtations with rare spirits have gone much further this time than just whisky. We have taken on our first Eau de Vie 40%, made from old English cider apples by Julian Temperley. Drunk cold from the freezer to compliment a citrus pudding, it is an excellent nip for the fully practised digestif drinker. For those of you who would like a more fruity introduction to eau de vie, then try our Morello Cherries in Apple Eau de Vie 20% with a good dollop of vanilla ice cream, awesome!

Event News
If we don't see you over this weekend at the Country Living Christmas Fair on Stand F60 in the SECC Glasgow, then we hope to see you at our last event of the year, the vast BBC Good Food Winter Show. Tim and I will be manning Stand G80 in the in NEC Birmingham between 23 to 27 Nov and wearing big smiles of course!
