Good with Cheese!
I really like cheese. You could say it is my personal weakness, whereas for some it is chocolate, with me it is cheese (and possibly the odd pork pie!). As a result I think I am a pretty good judge of what goes well with the irresistible stuff. We have come up with a rather perfect set of drinks called The Cheeseboard Drinks Selection to compliment just about every cheese there is out there. Nestling in our beautiful handmade Apotheker 200ml bottle rack is our rich and fruity Brammle Scotch Whisky Liqueur 23%, our smooth and refined Somerset Pomona 20% and our light and dry Elderberry & Port Liqueur 17%. So if you or someone you know has a little weakness for a soft, hard, mild, strong or just plain mouse trap cheese this might be a very tempting drinks set indeed!

Demijohn News - September 2011
Our News:
Yes it is true, Autumn is upon us. But before we all feel too sorry for ourselves we have a couple of positive things to offer you to lift morale during the change in seasons. Firstly our new Gin O'clock cocktail called Evoque, invented by us to assist in the launch of the new Range Rover Evoque at Shields Land Rover in Glasgow last week. It is a magical combination of our fresh Gooseberry Gin Liqueur and lemon. Our Gooseberry Gin was a popular drink before we started mixing it as a cocktail, but the effect of both our cocktail and the new car went down a treat! If you are thinking of launching something and would like us to be part of your special event with some of our unique Demijohn drinks, then please contact us to discuss a plan.
Secondly, if you are feeling lucky, you could WIN a fabulous foodie two-night break to the Scottish Borders, thanks to our friends at VisitScotland and Cringletie House Hotel. In a style similar to Demijohn's own ethos Craig Gibbs, Cringletie's Chef, prides himself on using good, locally sourced Borders ingredients. Coming from the Borders myself, I know how much of a treat this is! So forget the change in seasons and treat yourself to our new Evoque Cocktail and enter our competition to help delay Winter for a few days longer!
Product News
Our new Elderberry Gin Liqueur is now on tap in all shops, but its popularity and the difficultly in supply of fruit means that there is sadly little to go around. Until we can gather some more elderberries, which are just ripening as I type, supplies will be a little thin, sorry! So we are calling all troops once again. If you would like to earn some pocket money picking (about £2.50 a kilo of elderberries), then please contact us and we will try and put you to work! We have also received a delightful new extra virgin olive oil called Candeglia, from Tuscany. Harvested in Dec 2010, it still has a wonderful freshness and concentration of taste in a classic Tuscan style, and is delicious on stronger foods. If you are an oily person, then this is most certainly worth a try.
Coming Soon: New whisky and an Elderberry vinegar....
