Wow! How time has flown. 7 years ago to the day Frances and I were putting the finishing touches to our Edinburgh shop at 32 Victoria Street, ready to launch our new liquid deli business to the World. We may have a few more grey hairs, (in more ways than one!), opened some more shops and won a string of awards with the help of our fantastic Staff; but just to prove we are still young at heart I decided to repaint the Edinburgh shop front myself in time for our 7th Birthday on the 1st July! Fondly heckled by other traders and passers by for my fringe like performance on the ladder, I completed the job at 11.30pm at night (so please forgive the slightly patchy look of it!). There is something satisfying about a good job done, and nothing like a fresh coat of paint. We still feel as though we are only just getting started with Demijohn, and thanks to your fantastic loyal custom over the years we are thankfully still here to tell the tale. The amazing thing is that we are still bursting with the enthusiasm of complete beginners and using our bright and talented team to generate oodles of new ideas from within our own ranks. Demijohn has been an exciting place to be over the last 7 year, but the best is yet to come as we are not planning on growing old soon or giving up having fun! Product News - A Sporting Affair
As recommended this month by both The Field and also The Scottish Field, our new Sporting Box has been causing quite a stir. The standard box comes with any 4 liqueurs of your choice from our range of 30 and up to 16 engraved shot glasses, so quite a lot of fun. If this is not for your own use, then the boxes can also make a fantastic wedding present or mark a special moment in life. Just like all our other products, the Sporting Box can be fully personalised by choosing different drinks from our range or adding a personal engraving, such as a name or a family crest, onto the box lid.
The good news is that we have just completed a new production run, so they are now available with free delivery to any address in the UK within 5-7 working days. Our Sporting Box is available to view in all our shops and will also be with us at both The Scottish Game Fair at Scone this weekend and the CLA Game Fair at Blenheim Palace at the end of July. If you would like to discuss an order please contact us now.

Event News
After meeting a tremendous gang of gardener's in the NEC at the BBC Good Food Summer show 2 weeks ago, we go back into a field for the Scottish Game Conservancy Fair at Scone Palace near Perth. Known fondly by us as the biggest drinks party in Scotland, (with Demijohn as the host of course), this is a really fun outing for the whole family. Whether it's Terrier racing or watching sheep dance (yes, this really is true!), take your pick, it's a lot of fun. However, we have many more outings planned for the Summer, so this is the summary of our events up to the end of September:
Scottish Game Conservancy Fair - Osprey Row - Scone Palace, Perth (1-3 Jul)
CLA Game Fair - Food Village Stand C0413 - Blenheim Palace, Oxford (22-24 Jul)
Huddersfield Food & Drink Festival - Huddersfield (11-14 Aug)
York Food & Drink Festival - York (23-25 Sept)
Kibble Palace Christmas Fair - Glasgow Botanical Gardens (27 & 28 Sept)

There are of course many more events than this in 2011, so watch out in future newsletters for updates.
