DEMIJOHN LAUNCHES NEW YORKSHIRE SELECTION TO CELEBRATE SPRING

To celebrate spring and the snowdrops arriving in York, Demijohn has launched a special Yorkshire Liqueur Selection of its delicious artisan drinks. In a specially-created rack of three 200ml bottles, Raspberry Vodka, Grapefruit Vodka and Seville Orange Gin nestle together to create the perfect gift or sideboard necessity.

All three drinks are delicious when drunk on their own, over ice or make the perfect aperitif when drunk long with ice and tonic. The combination of the deep red raspberry coloured Vodka and the lighter citrusy-coloured Grapefruit Vodka and Seville Orange Gin make it a highly attractive set.

For those wanting something non-alcoholic Demijohn has created the Yorkshire Foodie Selection – an Apotheker 200ml bottle rack of Raspberry Vinegar, Lemon Vinegar and Yorkshire Red Chilli Rapeseed Oil. This is the first product from Yorkshire to be included in the Demijohn stable and has been chosen for its delicious nutty taste with subtle infused twist of chilli pepper.  The chilli oil is fantastic for adding a little spice quickly when frying meats or vegetables.  It can also combine with either the Raspberry or Lemon Vinegars to make mouth-watering dressings for green leaf salads with a tickle of pepper. The set is a great present and looks stunning on any spring table.

As Demijohn’s first shop in England, the York liquid deli on Museum Street has attracted customers from all over Yorkshire who are becoming enthralled by their huge range of innovative and delicious liqueurs, spirits, whiskies, oils and vinegars. Demijohn’s customers are encouraged to taste the products before they purchase making a visit to the shop better than going to your local bar. As the ultimate eco-retailer, customers then choose the size and shape of their re-useable bottle.

Demijohn’s founder Angus Ferguson says: “After the harsh weather we needed something to bring a little spring cheer and these new Yorkshire Selections will provide just that. The Yorkshire Foodie Selection is a particularly exciting addition for spring as it introduces our new Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil.

Demijohn’s products are both quirky and sophisticated and are sourced from small artisan producers from predominantly across the UK who, like Demijohn, have a passion for good food and drink produced in an eco-friendly way. For example, the Raspberry Vinegar comes from Perthshire, the Grapefruit Vodka from Wales and the Seville Orange Gin from Worcestershire.
