QuestionHow is this made?

This is handmade by a small team of passionate individuals at Nigel Howard's West Country, Lyme Bay Winery, we should know as Frances and I went to visit them in 2005.  Nigel, a retired banker who escaped the City in 1994 to make wine, uses both traditional and modern production methods to create the best quality liqueur.  The brandy used in this delicate fusion comes from Julian Temperley’s Burrow Hill Farm, the creator of our magnificent Somerset 10 Year Old Cider Brandy 42% and Somerset Pomona 20%.  There is a little something going on down there in the West Country, small producers getting together and experimenting, but my goodness they produce great stuff once the experiments are over!

Tasting Notes
Some of you may remember our Devonshire Chocolate Cream Liqueur? Well, we have decided to give it a rest as we have discovered something much more tantalisingly delicious.  ....moreOur clever friend Nigel Howard in Devon has now created a new and unique chocolate and orange flavoured liqueur. It is made from a subtle blend of dark chocolate, real Devonshire Cream, Apple Brandy and the zest of an orange. The result is outstanding, liquid chocolate orange! Few will be able to resist the devilish attraction of this deliciously smooth liqueur. We feel it is best served straight from the fridge, with a little ice. It can of course be used to top a range of flavoured ice creams, but there are many other ways to enjoy this fantastic drink. We would love to hear your ideas, after you have time to experiment of course.........please write in and let us know. ...less
