Terms, Conditions and Privacy Policy

At Demijohn we try as hard as we can to ensure the finest level of service is available to you the customer. If you are dissatisfied in any way with our goods or services, or have any positive comments or suggestions to make, please contact us. We welcome your comments or suggestions because they will allow us to develop our service to you in the most efficient way possible.

Mail Order and Packing
Demijohn is able to deliver easily and safely to almost anywhere in the world.  However, our website is only designed to process a few of our international deliver zones, as covered in our delivery charges.  Therefore, if you are unable to complete an order online, please email us your order request to info@demijohn.co.uk and we will provide you with a full quote of charges for you to consider.  Please note delivery outside of the mainland UK may incur an additional shipping charge.  How much will depend on delivery address, size of order and speed of delivery.  Delivery of alcohol related products to some countries are prohibited.  If you choose to have any product delivered to an address outside of the UK we unfortunately cannot guarantee delivery.  In addition, if we are sending our products to an address out with the EU your purchase may be liable to local taxes and duties upon arrival in your country.  (Please contact your Customs Department if you require further information).  Prices for delivery are calculated automatically online and are added to your total at the 'Demijohn Checkout'.  Some orders may qualify for free delivery, depending on the size of the order and delivery timescale.  Orders placed between Monday and Friday will be processed within 24 hours of receipt. Orders placed on Friday and at other times will be processed on Monday. Deliveries within mainland UK should arrive within 5-7 working days.  Faster delivery times are often possible if required to meet a particular deadline.  Sadly delivery times cannot be guaranteed, although we will always do everything in our power to try and make your chosen delivery date.  If you require a faster delivery service then please contact us to make a special arrangement.  Please be aware that an additional charge may apply for non standard delivery times.

Payment, Pricing and Refunds
Payment for our goods can be made by credit, debit card or cheque. Credit or debit card payments can be made quickly and safely online by using our secure online payment provider Protx when you checkout. More information on our online payment service is available on the Protx website  Alternatively you can pay using your credit or debit card over the telephone by calling us on +44(0)141 3373600 during opening hours (10am to 6pm Mon to Sat, 12.30 to 5pm Sun), or alternatively by faxing or posting your order form to us complete with your card payment details. Cheques should be made payable to "Demijohn Ltd," annotated with your customer order number on their reverse side and then posted with your order form to us. Please note that cheques will require to be cleared at our bank before your order can be posted to you. If posting order forms to us please send to: Mail Order Dept., Demijohn, 382 Byres Road, Glasgow, G12 8AR.  While we endeavour continually to ensure that the prices on our website are accurate and that stock displayed is available, we may need to advise you of incorrect prices or a change to the availability status. If a correction to price or availability is necessary we will advise you as soon as possible after you place your order. If a correction to your order is necessary you may cancel your order and we will refund all monies paid. This refund applies only to goods that have not already been posted or picked up by the customer.

Disclaimer of Liability
In no event shall Demijohn be liable for special, indirect, exemplary, or consequential damages or any damages whatsoever, including but not limited to, loss of use, data, or profits, without regard to the form of any action, including but not limited to contract, negligence, or other tortuous actions, all arising out of or in connection with the use, copying, or display of the Contents of this Site. In an effort to provide our customers with the most current information, Demijohn will, from time to time, make changes in the Contents and in the products or services described on this Site.

Alcohol and the Law – Licensing (Scotland) Act 1976 & 2005 (as amended)
It is an offence under the Licensing (Scotland) Act 1976 & 2005 to sell or deliver alcohol to any person under 18 years of age. We therefore do not wish to sell alcohol to any person who is under the age of 18 years of age. By ticking the appropriate box when asked to confirm that you are aged 18 years of age or more, during the login process on our website, you are confirming that you and the receiver of any alcohol sold by us are at least 18 years of age.
