Cube of 10 Year Old West Country Cider Spirit (500ml)

Our first class 10 Year Old West Country Cider Spirit 42% is bottled in our striking, cube shaped Mystic 500ml stacking bottle to create a Cube of 10 Year Old West Country Cider Spirit.

This aged Cider Brandy from Somerset is a complex and mature apple brandy with a Christmas Pudding richness. It makes a fabulous alternative digestif to a vintage French Cognac, Armagnac or Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

How is it best drunk?

Cider Brandy is a very special British sprit. It has a raisiny tang, a whiff of cider and a deep, warming heart. It is generally drunk from a brandy glass, at room temperature. However, it can be mixed into a number of brandy cocktails or used in your cooking such as in our Cider Brandy Camembert recipe.

After a big dinner, a glass or two of our 10 Year Old West Country Cider Spirit is a fine alternative to a Scotch Whisky, and has proved to be much kinder on the head the next morning!

How is this made?

Cider Brandy is similar but very different from the more commonly known French Cider Brandy, produced in the Calvados Region of France. Our 10 Year Old West Country Cider Spirit is made at Burrow Hill Farm for us by Julian Temperley, along with our Somerset Pomona 20% and Apple Eau de Vie 40%.

Somerset vintage cider apples are gathered and pressed. The juice is fermented in huge oak vats and then distilled in stills. The clear spirit, known as Eau de Vie, is then trickled into oak barrels where it is left to mature for at least 10 years. The result is our first class, aged, Somerset Cider Brandy.

Anything else I should know?

The Mystic 500ml bottle is shaped so that it can stack with other Mystic 500ml stacking bottles to make a striking tower of cubes.

This bottle can also be enhanced by the addition of a handmade Oak wood presentation box to create our Cider Brandy Box Set, which would make an excellent wedding gift, corporate gift or Father's Day gift.

All our bottles are refillable and can be personalised with a free handwritten message.
