Tasting Notes
Three 40g bars of Belize Maya Mountain Dark Chocolate (75%). Each bar contains a deliciously dark, almost bitter handmade chocolate. Each bite will give a taste sensation you are unlikely to forget in a hurry.
How is this made?
The cacao nibs come from the Maya Mountains where biodiversity is being preserved by organic agroforestry. The unique flavour of the chocolate comes from the Pre-historic coral reef which is over millions of years old. This reef has become the bedrock and soil of Belize, creating a unique terroir.
Anything else I should know?
Our handmade liqueur chocolates are made for us by friends Ali and Friederike Gower, a lovely couple who founded their Company The Chocolate Tree in Haddington, just South of Edinburgh in 2009. They are famous for being one of only 5 companies in Britain to make chocolates directly from the cacao bean.
Their chocolates are made in small batches using fresh cream, ethically sourced ingredients & most importantly no added preservatives to give the best in natural flavours.
