Three 40g bars of rare Whisky Nibs 70% Dark Chocolate. Each bar contains a deliciously dark, almost bitter handmade chocolate with a whiff of Islay whisky about it. Each bite will give a taste sensation you are unlikely to forget in a hurry. Crack a chunk and eat while sipping a dram from our Whisky collection in front of a roaring open fire, marvelous!
How is this made?
Rare cacao nibs from the Marañón canyon in Peru are soaked in a premium Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the Island of Islay on Scotland's West Coast. If you have tried our 10 Year Old Single Islay Malt Scotch Whisky 58.1%, you will know that Islay whiskies are famous for their very strong smoky tastes. Once the whisky has evaporated from the nibs they are blended with chocolate made from the same origin. The result is incredible.
Anything else I should know?
Our handmade liqueur chocolates are made for us by friends Ali and Friederike Gower, a lovely couple who founded their Company The Chocolate Tree in Haddington, just South of Edinburgh in 2009. They are famous for being one of only 5 companies in Britain to make chocolates directly from the cacoa bean. Their chocolates are made in small batches using fresh cream, ethically sourced ingredients & most importantly no added preservatives to give the best in natural flavours.
