Our Lemon Rapeseed Oil is made by the Kilby family on their Farm near Wetherby, West Yorkshire. Sicilian lemon oil is infused in the oil to create a fantastic flavoured rapeseed oil that can be used for creating fresh tasting salad dressings or adding a quick lemon flavouring to many popular dishes.
How is it best used?
As a result of rapeseed oils high burn point it is excellent for use when frying or roasting for example. We have experimented with roasting and frying vegetables in a mix of a little rapeseed oil and a little fresh strong Extra Virgin Olive Oil such as our Villa Montalbano. The combination not only improves the taste dramatically but it will allow cooking without burning at a much higher temperature.
Yorkshire Lemon Rapeseed Oil makes delicious dressings for salads when combined with our range of locally produced fruit vinegars, such as our Elderflower Vinegar, Raspberry Vinegar or Bramble Vinegar. We recommend you try our Elderflower Vinaigrette Recipe. Lemon Rapeseed Oil is also great in dips recipes such as Hummus, or within cakes and baking.
