Our Red Chilli Rapeseed Oil is made by the Kilby family on their Farm near Wetherby, North Yorkshire. This is a wonderfully useful infused oil. Its subtle tickle of chilli taste, rather than a "blow your head off" variety, can be used to excite many dishes that simply need a little chilli to fire them up.
How is it best used?
As a result of rapeseed oils high burn point it is excellent for use when frying or roasting for example. We have experimented with roasting and frying vegetables in a mix of a little rapeseed oil and a little fresh strong Extra Virgin Olive Oil such as our Villa Montalbano. The combination not only improves the taste dramatically but it will allow cooking without burning at a much higher temperature. Yorkshire Red Chilli Rapeseed Oil is also fantastic for making marinades and dressing with our range of locally produced fruit vinegars, such as our Raspberry or Bramble. This is another fantastic addition to our range of oils.
