We have bottled our Basil infused Rapeseed Oil in our handsome Herbalist 500ml bottle, a handy size for having close at hand when cooking in your kitchen. Basil Rapeseed Oil has an obvious basil aroma and flavour and can be used to quickly add basil herb flavour to almost any dish.
How is it best used?
As a result of rapeseed oils natural high burn point, Basil infused Rapeseed Oil is fantastic for high temperature cooking, such as roasting vegetables and frying.
Our Basil Rapeseed Oil is also fantastic for making marinades and dressing with our range of locally produced fruit vinegars, such as our Rhubarb Balsamic Vinegar or our Lime & Lemongrass Balsamic Vinegar.
We have experimented with roasting and frying vegetables in a mix of a little rapeseed oil and a little fresh strong Extra Virgin Olive Oil such as our Villa Montalbano.
The combination not only improves the taste dramatically, but it will allow cooking without burning at a much higher temperature.
This is another fantastic addition to our range of oils and dressings for salads and for cooking with.

Our Basil infused Rapeseed Oil is made for us by the Palmer family on their mixed family farm in the Yorkshire Wolds.
