Admittedly this could be the name for your dog (rhubarb) and your cat (ginger), but it is not! Personally speaking, there are not many flavours that pair better with root ginger than rhubarb, strong with strong. So it has been rather fortunate that two of our favourite products, our Organic Rhubarb Vodka 20.5% and our Ginger Wine 14.5% can now be brought together as a beautiful set in our Ying & Yang 200ml bottles.
How is this best used?
This strikingly presented pair of delicious drinks would make a wonderful gift at any time of the year, but if you were looking for something to make your Mother glow on Mother's Day, then this might just hit the spot!
What is in it?
Our Inverness made Rhubarb Vodka, with its smooth, fresh taste has been causing an enormous stir of popularity with our customers and our Staff since it was launched in June 2008. Even Gordon Ramsay, who really should know about these things, was singing its praises at the BBC Good Food Show in Glasgow in early November 2008. The result of course was somewhat of a pitched battle for the stuff on our stand, and the inevitable challenge of demand out stripping supply! Looking at the other half, our ginger wine, is most certainly the rock of sensibility to the young and lively rhubarb. In its mature handmade way, this smooth, warming wine from Devon will seduce anyone with the slightest weakness for ginger. Unlike the more commercialised ginger wines we have tasted, this exudes quality on the nose and to the taste. In this case therefore, two halves most certainly make a whole in terms of flavour and as a result we have messed around with them both endlessly.
