This unique drink is for the Rum enthusiast and the dark chocolate eater. Cacao has been infused carefully in Golden Caribbean Rum to create a drink masterpiece. Our delicious Chocolate Rum Liqueur is a first of its kind and will impress you with its incredible depth of flavour. Deliberately less sweet than many of our other liqueurs, its strength lies not just in its spirit rum base, but also in its balance of flavour.
How is it best drunk?
Drink this as an aperitif over ice to start an evenings entertainment, or straight as a digestif after a fabulous meal. We can also recommend that you try our Chocolate Dark and Stormy Cocktail. We are experimenting now with more complex cocktails, so if you have any suggestions please do share them with us?
How is this made?
Our Chocolate Rum Liqueur is the product of over 6 months of joint experimentation and development work with Colin and Phyllis Hingston and their Daughter Mitch at their farm in Worcestershire. Made in a similar way to a Sloe Gin, the Cacao bean is infused in a dark spirit Rum in order to provide a rich, yet unsweetened flavour to the rum. The Hingston family have been creating drinks for us at Demijohn since 2004. This Chocolate Rum Liqueur is at the top of its class and is testament to their skill.
