Tasting Notes
Our handmade Apricot Brandy Liqueur 17% is a delicious after dinner drink. Its clean, dry, yet fruity taste makes it easy to drink and compliments desserts and a good cheeseboard well. We have bottle it in our handsome hipflask shaped Outlaw 375ml bottle, which can sit on a sideboard or fits easily in a pocket.
How is this best drunk?
Apricot Brandy combines real apricots infused in Somerset Cider Brandy. It can be drunk after dinner and is extremely good with a strong blue cheese, such as Stilton for example. As a drink to accompany a dessert it is fabulous. It can be reduced to be drizzled over a crepe or used to flavour ice cream. Try it in our Speedy Zabaglioni recipe.
How is this made?
This liqueur is handmade by a small team of passionate individuals at Nigel Howard's West Country Winery in Devon, using real apricots and Julian Temperley's now famous Somerset Cider Brandy. The result is a clever balance of sweet apricots with apple undertones.
Nigel, a retired banker escaped the City in 1994 to make wine. Many years have past and Nigel has finally retired for a second time. However, his inspirational winery still uses both traditional and modern production methods to create the very finest liqueurs.
