This is a very clever balsamic vinegar that has a touch of far eastern magic about it. Use it for making exciting dressings for salads or fish dishes, add it to a wok when you are knocking up a stir fry or revitalise the parts with a citrus vinegar spritzer.
How is it best used?
Lime & Lemongrass Balsamic Vinegar can add a little magic to any fresh green leaf or simple tomato salad. Use it with a light extra virgin olive oil, such as our Villa Montalbano Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Its quality comes to the fore when used to cook fish, such as poached Scottish Salmon. For a healthy aperitif, try making a Lime & Lemongrass Vinegar spritzer by adding a dash to glass of sparkling mineral water and ice.
How is this made?
Our Lime & Lemongrass Balsamic Vinegar is made for us in Co. Armagh, Northern Ireland by a small artisan producer of all things delicious, Susie Hamilton Stubber. White Balsamic Vinegar from Modena, Northern Italy, is infused with fresh Kaffir lime leaves and lemongrass to produce this superbly balanced vinegar that is both sweet and sharp. Susie is someone who has been brought up to love the countryside and to enjoy and appreciate nature's bounty, just like us. We met her first in 2018 when she let us try some of her other magical dressing creations. She has been producing first class recipes since 2013 and will be for many years to come.
