Our Gooseberry Vinegar and Chilli Oil Pair is the perfect duo for those who enjoy the unique tanginess of fresh gooseberries and the unmistakeable warmth of red chilli peppers.

How is this best used?

When used together, this sweet vinegar and fiery rapeseed oil is essential for foodies who are looking to take their meals to the next level. Combined, this set makes for a unique vinaigrette that suits all kinds of soups, salads and stews. Plus, it is great for dipping crusty breads into and spreading over sandwiches and wraps. 

Similar to a white wine balsamic, our Gooseberry Vinegar can be used to dress salads on its own or when mixed with a little light Extra Virgin Olive Oil. It is also good for dressing fruit salads too, and seriously delicious over ice cream! Like our other fruit vinegars, it can be used as a cordial. One third fruit vinegar, two thirds sparkling mineral water and a little ice is all you will need to keep the stress of hard day at work at bay.

As a result of rapeseed oil's high burn point, this chilli oil is excellent for use when frying or roasting meat and vegetables. Our Red Chilli Rapeseed Oil is also fantastic for making marinades and dressings with our range of locally produced fruit vinegars. We have experimented with roasting and frying vegetables in a mix of a little rapeseed oil and a little fresh strong Extra Virgin Olive Oil such as our Villa Montalbano, the combination not only improves the taste dramatically, but it will allow cooking without burning at a much higher temperature.
