If you enjoy a piece of cheese after dinner, our Elderberry & Port Liqueur 17% would accompany it well. We have bottle it in our handy hipflask shaped Outlaw 375ml bottle, which can look great on a table or fit in a pocket.
How is this best drunk?
Elderberry & Port Liqueur can be drunk like a table wine with a meal, or enjoyed after dinner along with a good selection of cheeses or a dessert. However, its fabulously rich, fruity flavour means it can also be used as an ingredient to cook with. Add it to any recipe that requires red wine or try it within a dessert such as our Poached Pears recipe.
How is this made?
This liqueur is handmade by a small team of passionate individuals at Nigel Howard's West Country Winery in Devon. Nigel, a retired banker escaped the City in 1994 to make wine.
Many years have past and Nigel has finally retired for a second time. However, his inspirational winery still uses both traditional and modern production methods to create the very finest liqueurs. Our Elderberry & Port Liqueurs noticeable dryness is a result of the combination of elderberries and Portuguese fortified wine.
