A deliciously fruity, full bodied, medium dry wine from Devon that makes a great accompaniment to any red meat dish.
How is it best drunk?
Its finest moment is being drunk with a strong goats cheese salad.
How is this made?
This is handmade by a small team of passionate individuals in the West Country, we should know as Frances and I went to visit their winery in 2005. Started by Nigel Howard, a retired banker who escaped the City in 1994 to make wine, the winery uses both traditional and modern production methods to create the best quality wine. There is a little something going on down there in the West Country, small producers getting together and experimenting, but my goodness they produce great stuff once the experiments are over!
