Put on your open minded hat for this drink, as our delicious Sloe Sherry from Malton in North Yorkshire is certainly going to challenge your taste buds! More fruity than a sloe gin, yet curiously dry, this drink is for the serious sloe berry addict who just loves the punch that comes with a well matured sloe liqueur.
How is it best drunk?
Our Sloe Sherry can be drunk after dinner as a digestif, or is perfect for nip on a cold morning when out in the hills. It can be mixed with Champagne or sparkling wine to make a Kir or in a Sloe Sherry Rickey cocktail. Try using it to boost the flavour in gravies and sauces for strong red meat dishes, such as duck and lamb.
How is this made?
Julia Medforth has produced this fantastic liqueur specially for us. From something that began as an experiment, she has produced a drink which is unique in style and taste. While few drinks can beat a our traditional British Sloe Gin, our Sloe Sherry is certainly a very clever play on an our old favourite.
