Record Ticket Sales for Glenlair Feastival 2026
Glenlair Feastival, South West Scotland’s unique music, food and drink festival sponsored by Demijohn, has broken a new record for early ticket sales as its popularity continues to grow with food loving visitors set to attend from around the UK.
Now in its third year, this exclusive Summer festival mixes up some of the best local food and drink of the region with some phenomenal musical talent from often yet unknown performing artists. Festival goers of almost any age seem to love the concept.
Within the naturally beautiful and acoustically brilliant space of Glenlair Steading, a few hundred lucky people will enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of a seriously fun festival in a rural farm yard setting.
Exotic new foods will be on offer. Renowned Galloway Chef Murray McDavid (ex Gather Restaurant and Swally n’ Scran) is to bring Bossman, his newly founded authentic Middle Eastern street food venture, to Glenlair Feastival.
Murray will be serving handmade shawarma wraps, fresh salads and house made sauces packed with bold flavour. Bossman has brought something new to the region for adventurous food lovers.
Other local food and drink producers taking part include Ethical Dairy Cheese from Gatehouse of Fleet, Galloway Scottish Pasta from New Galloway, Blackthorn Salt from Ayrshire, Glen Urr Ice Cream from Haugh of Urr, Five Kingdoms Brewery from The Isle of Whithorn, Steilhead Cider from Moniaive.
Great food deserves great drinks, and there can be none better than the impressive range of drinks offered by Demijohn, Scotland’s award winning liquid deli.
Developed over 22 years together with a quirky bunch of skilled small producers from Moffat to Somerset, Demijohn’s range of over 70 food and drink products are not just utterly delicious. They are produced sustainably by hand using local ingredients where possible, such as elderflower picked on Glenlair Farm, and sold in refillable glass bottles. They also make fabulous, personalised gifts.
Visitors to Glenlair Steading will be able to taste the full range in the Demijohn Store during the festival and then enjoy their favourite drink mixed as a cocktail while they dance to a varied mix of live indie music performances that bring the historic farm steading to life.
Part of Glenlair Feastival’s objective is to help emerging, young talented artists to promote themselves to a wider audience. Musicians are carefully chosen over many months, with guidance and support from local charity Up Yer Airts, a part of Arts D&G.
Dumfries born Ella Campbell is one such example. Ella first played at Glenlair Feastival in 2025 aged just 17 and now has a following of over 23,000 fans. More established local Scottish bands such as Palliro and The Aberlady Sessions are return again due to popular demand.
A number of new musicians are set to perform this year, including 8 Days from Peebles, singer-songwriter Rose Benson and newly formed local band SÀL TONN. Lead singer Liam Russell, from Old Bridge of Urr village just a few miles from Glenlair Steading, describes SÀL TONN as producing music “shaped by movement and place, stretches near the sea, time on the road, and the quiet that follows.”
Director of Art D&G described Glenlair Feastival 2025 as having “a lovely chilled vibe in a great outdoor venue as people listened to brilliant music, ate really good food, chatted and hung out together, all while drinking some very tasty and devilishly strong Demijohn cocktails! A must already in the diary for 2026.”
Angus Ferguson, Owner of Demijohn said: “Frances and I are in no doubt that Glenlair Feastival 2026 will be our best event at Glenlair Steading yet. We are so lucky to have such great support from our amazing, enthusiastic Demijohn Customers who will travel from far and wide to experience the best that Galloway can offer. Great local food combined with incredible artistic talent is a match made in heaven! Huge thanks go to Arts D&G for their continued sponsorship and advice and the SSDA Team for helping to publicise our event. Let’s get this gastronomic party started!”

Note to Editors:
Glenlair Feastival was the brainchild of Angus and Frances Ferguson and first ran in 2024 to celebrate Demijohn’s 20th year in business. It was so popular it became an annual event. Glenlair Steading, where the festival is held, is architecturally significant and was restored in 2023 as the new home of Demijohn, Scotland’s award winning liquid deli. The steading’s beautiful stone walls, which date back to 1840, lend themselves easily to become a sheltered theatre for performing arts. Glenlair is also historically famous for having been the home of Scottish Physicist James Clerk Maxwell.
Up Yer Airts is part of performing arts charity Arts D&G. Up Yer Airts partnered with Glenlair Festival to showcase the best up-and-coming young local talent that Dumfries and Galloway has to offer. Up Yer Airts is a groundbreaking initiative empowering young people to curate vibrant cultural events and refine their craft as arts and creative industry professionals in Dumfries & Galloway. As an organisation led by young people, they are out to push the boundaries of what is possible for the region and supporting the incredible grassroots music culture of the region while working to make sure Dumfries & Galloway is recognised as an area of artistic importance for national musicians.
Liam Russell, Director of Up Yer Airts: “As always it is a privilege to be able to present such a diverse and talented line up of local young musicians, this time at Galloway’s newest summer music festival. We strive to provide support and opportunities to young people seeking to carve out a career in music and help them get their feet on the ladder. This is only just the beginning for these artists, and we cannot wait to continue our work with them whilst building a community round about the work we do!”
